Question 1

Q1. What is the Golden Money Plant?

Accepted Answer

The Golden Money Plant, known scientifically as Epipremnum aureum, is one of the most popular indoor plants in India. It has bright yellow-green leaves and fast-growing vines. It is believed to bring good luck and prosperity, which is why you see it in almost every Indian home and office.

Question 2

Q2. Does the money plant actually bring good luck?

Accepted Answer

According to Vastu Shastra, placing the money plant in the south-east direction of your home, which is the zone of Venus, is said to invite financial growth and positive energy. Whether you follow Vastu or not, science confirms that the money plant reduces stress and improves air quality. Both are worth having.

Question 3

Q3. How fast does it grow?

Accepted Answer

Very fast. In good indirect light, the Golden Money Plant can produce one to two new leaves every single week. It is one of the fastest growing indoor plants in India. Watching it grow is genuinely satisfying.

Question 4

Q4. Can I grow it in water instead of soil?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it can grow in water too. But in soil with a self-watering pot, it grows fuller, healthier, and produces more leaves. The soil version is always better for long-term growth and health.

Question 5

Q5. Is it good for WFH desks and offices?

Accepted Answer

Very much. The Golden Money Plant grows well under artificial light, needs very little care, and makes any workspace feel more human and alive. It is one of the top-selling plants for Indian WFH setups and office desks.

Question 6

Q6. Is it safe for children and pets?

Accepted Answer

It is mildly toxic if eaten. Keep it away from pets that chew plants and small children. It is safe to touch. Wash hands after handling if you have sensitive skin.

Question 7

Q7. How does the self-watering pot help?

Accepted Answer

It prevents both overwatering and underwatering. Overwatering is the most common reason people kill money plants in India. The self-watering tank delivers moisture steadily, so the plant always has what it needs without getting root rot.

Question 8

Q8. What is the difference between Golden Money Plant and regular Money Plant?

Accepted Answer

The Golden Money Plant has brighter yellow-green patches on its leaves. The regular money plant is mostly solid green. The Golden version grows slightly faster, looks more vibrant, and needs a bit more light to keep its colour. Both are excellent plants. The Golden version simply looks more premium.
